One of the Show Me State’s hottest high school basketball prospects three years ago is once again on the market, with the Missouri Tigers likely figuring into the guard’s future.
Former UNC guard Caleb Love, who prepped at St. Louis’ Christian Brothers College High School, has entered the NCAA transfer portal after averaging 16.7 points per game as a junior.
Love is a former five-star guard (per 247 Sports) and was a key cog in the Tar Heels’ championship game run in 2022, averaging at least 10 points in each of his three collegiate seasons in Chapel Hill.
Now, Missouri fans are left to wonder if Love is ready to come home and play for second-year head coach Dennis Gates in Columbia, a year after Gates led the Tigers to a 25-10 run that saw them make the Big Dance for the first time in two years.
We break from Missouri sportsbooks updates to bring you Caleb Love's next team odds.

Missouri Tigers Odds To Land Love
Based on Love’s connection to the Show Me State and Missouri’s fast ascent from SEC also-ran to Final Four contender under Gates, there’s no reason to count out the Tigers to land the junior guard.
That’s why BetMissouri.com gives Gates and company the best odds of any school at landing Love out of the portal, with the Tigers listed at +350 (or 22.2%).
Missouri comes in ahead of other regional basketball powers, such as Indiana (+400/20%), Memphis (+700, 12.5%) and Illinois (+700, 12.5%). The Texas Longhorns are also listed at +700 on our list of possible destinations for Love in 2023, with the rest of the country coming in at +395 (or 20.3%).
There’s no doubt that Love would be welcomed with open arms by Gates and his home state at large, especially if the junior guard can live up to the level of play that he showed during his time at UNC.
For now, Gates will have to jockey against what’s sure to be a jampacked field of coaches looking to land the former five-star guard for their 2023 rosters.
Whether there truly is no place like home remains to be seen, though you can never count out the hometown Tigers on the recruiting trail.
