bet365 has confirmed its intentions to launch in the Missouri sports betting market.
The global sports betting brand has entered into a marketing partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals, allowing bet365 to gain market access to the Show-Me State once legal wagering goes live. So soon enough, there will be a legal bet365 Missouri sportsbook that you can bet on.
This deal marks the first instance of sportsbook partnering with a local Missouri team since Amendment 2, which legalized sports betting, was passed last year.
Sponsorship Deal Includes Stadium, TV and Radio
The partnership marks the first official mobile sports betting deal for the St. Louis Cardinals, and bet365 games more than just market access. The sports betting brand will also enjoy sponsorship opportunities across several channels with the Cardinals.
Like most professional team partnerships in sports betting, bet365's deal includes advertising rights on the Cardinals radio broadcasts, Insider TV shows, cardinals.com team website and signage at Busch Stadium
However, bet365 also gets naming rights for the bet365 Bridge on the stadium's second level. This all-inclusive deck has outdoor reserved seating and includes a buffet, beer and soda. There really isn't a better way to enjoy home games at Busch Stadium while rooting for the Cardinals' odds to make the playoffs, and maybe even another World Series!
Tickets for the bet365 Bridge for the Cardinals' upcoming season are on sale now at cardinals.com/allinclusive.
Launch Expected to be Delayed
Those looking forward to betting with bet365 will likely have to wait until October or November as legal sports betting isn't expected to go live until sometime in the fourth quarter this year. The Missouri Gaming Commission hasn't even begun the licensing process for MO betting apps, so it'll likely be until after the MLB season that Show-Me State bettors will be able to bet on sports.
The MGC has until December 1 to get sports betting live, per the state sports betting bill. The regulator had submitted emergency regulations in an attempt to get betting live by the start of the NFL season, but that was rejected by Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.
The hope was that sports betting would be up and running over the next few months so Missouri bettors could have the opportunity to bet on the Cardinals, Royals and maybe even the Chiefs Super Bowl odds ahead of the start of the season.
We'll have to see how quickly the MGC can get regulations approved, but we're hoping you'll see the likes of bet365 and other sportsbooks offering MO betting promos before the end of the MLB season.
