It has been nine seasons since the Kansas City Royals won their second World Series title and eight years since the team finished with a .500 record. However, with shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. emerging as a superstar, thereās hope the team will see its fortunes turn around in the near future.
Like most teams, losing on the field has led to losing in the stands as well. After welcoming a team-record 2.7 million fans into Kauffmann Stadium during the 2015 pennant-winning year, Kansas City is now drawing less than half that total. Only 1.3 million fans came to the park last season, when the Royals matched the 2005 squad with a franchise-worst 56-106 record.
With 81 home games each year, MLB teams often resort to special promotions or themed games to attract new fans and help bring back old ones. The Royals are no exception. So BetMissouri.com, your source for updates on efforts to legalize Missouri sports betting, wanted to know which promotions excited Kansas City fans in the 2024 season.
Our team surveyed Royals fans on Reddit to find out their favorite themed nights. Then, we ranked the top five promotions according to their votes. This survey was taken from March 22-25, 2024.

The next two promotions on our list will be held multiple times during the season. Fans who buy the āBark at the Parkā package for those games can bring a dog and receive a Royals-themed item.
Every Tuesday home game at Kauffmann Stadium will also be a Dollar Dog Night, where fans can get the traditional ballpark snack for just $1.
On July 26, the Royals will hold Brain Health Awareness Night when they face the Chicago Cubs. Postgame fireworks are scheduled and the first 15,000 fans will go home with a Royals-themed Patrick Mahomes bobblehead.

Sports betting is legal in neighboring Kansas, where you can get -110 odds on the Royals winning more or fewer than 74.5 games this season at DraftKings Sportsbook. As for Missouri sportsbook apps, the Royals and other pro sports teams across the state hope to get a measure on the November ballot to legalize wagering in the Show-Me State.
