At BetMissouri.com, we briefly broke from Missouri sports betting updates and used Google Trends to find and rank the top five most common New Year’s resolutions for Missouri residents. The search was conducted between December 1, 2023 – January 2, 2024. The ranking is based on search interest score.

What Are Missourians Top New Year’s Resolutions?
Ranking atop the resolutions list in Missouri this year with a search interest score of 81 points was to save more money, beating out traveling more (76 search interest score) and reading more (73 search interest score).
Throw in two more resolutions; in limiting caffeine intake (72 search interest score) and learning more (69 search interest score) and you have the full rundown of Missouri’s top new year’s resolutions for the new year.
Still, none of those held the type of statewide sway that saving money did in Missouri this year, with financial prudence being the theme of the moment for Missouri residents, based on search interest scores at least.
